Pure Live Japan - Pure Life Release Tour 資料

概要

過去数年にわたりマンチェスター、ロンドン、ブリストルなどで映像と音楽の祭典Pure Liveを開催してきたマンチェスターを拠点とするレーベルPure Lifeが、レーベルメンバーを引き連れ日本でのライブイベントを行う。

フルオーディオビジュアルアルバムや動画配信サイト上でのオンラインイベント、ゲームと音楽アルバムとの融合など、映像やテクノロジーと音楽を融合させる試みを続けてきたPure Lifeメンバーにより、プロジェクターによる映像と音楽を組み合わせたパフォーマンスを楽しめるイベントを開催する。

また、Black Arce, True Pantherなどからリリースを重ねるHyetalのPure Lifeからの２年ぶりの新作アルバムと、EulalieとKuroi Ameによるコラボアルバムのリリースパーティーでもある。

・プロジェクターが利用可能な場合はライブイベント。レイヴやバーでのイベントの場合はメンバーがDJすることも可。

・Kuroi Ameの出番でEulalieのコラボ曲を多く演奏するので、出演者の数次第ではEulalieの出番はなくても可。交流したいので現地アクトの人にも多く出ていただきたいです。

・内容は現在相談中。変更の可能性あり。

・Kuroi AmeがPure LifeのリリースをCDにして持ち込むかもしれません。小さくていいので物販スペースがあると嬉しいです。

 

**Kuroi AmeのセットがEulalieとのコラボ新ユニットDreaming Machinesに名称変更となりました。Dreaming Machinesの1stアルバムが9月前後にリリース予定です。来日メンバーはKuroi AmeのメンバーPanta Rheiのみで変更ございません。

Hyetal

Hyetalは、過去10年間に数多くのアルバム、リミックス、コラボレーションをリリースし、高い評価を得ている電子音楽家。

これまでにグラストンベリーやMoma PS1、MIRAなどのフェスティバル、Berghain、Fabricなどのクラブでライブ・パフォーマンスやDJセットを行い、Boiler Room、BBC Radio 1、NTS、Rinse FMなどでライブ放送を行うなど、精力的かつ広範囲に活動を行っている。

Hyetalの作品は、The Guardian、The Fader、Dazed、Pitchforkなどの出版物で国際的に報道されている。

Artist Biography

Hyetalは、ロンドンを拠点に活動するミュージシャンでプロデューサーのDavid Corneyの別名義。

ドリームポップ、実験的電子音楽、ダンスミュージックの狭間に位置するプロジェクトである。

2000年代初頭にサウサンプトンからブリストルに移り住んだHyetalは、ポスト・ダブステップやテクノシーンで高く評価されたシングルをアナログレコードで数枚リリースしたのち、2011年にBlack Acreから「Broadcast」でアルバムデビュー。

映画的なサウンドトラック、ポップス、ニューウェーブなど多様な影響を取り入れた彼は、より長尺のリリースが自らのスタイルと自然に噛み合うことに気づき、2013年にTrue Pantherからアルバム「Modern Worship」をリリース。

2017年にはOther/otherからアルバム「Youth and Power」をリリースし、初めて自身のヴォーカルを作品に取り入れた。

2022年、楽曲「Permanence」を用いたインスタレーションアートと彫刻をアーティストのRana Begumと共作、国際美術展覧会ヴェネツィア・ビエンナーレで展示。

90年代のテクノとシューゲイザーに影響を受けたEP「States」を東京のレーベルDiskotopiaからリリース。

2024年には、作家Tim Maughan、ヴィジュアルアーティストR3Nとのコラボレーションによる複合的な新作アルバム、短編小説、映像作品をPure Lifeからリリース予定。

Hyetal is an acclaimed electronic musician that has released numerous albums, remixes and collaborations over the last decade. During this time he has toured extensively with live performances and DJ sets at festivals such as Glastonbury, Moma PS1 and MIRA, clubs Berghain and Fabric and live broadcasts on Boiler Room, BBC Radio 1, NTS and Rinse FM. Hyetal has received international press coverage in publications including The Guardian, The Fader, Dazed and Pitchfork.

Artist Biography

Hyetal is the alias of London based musician and producer David Corney, a project located somewhere between dream pop, experimental electronic and dance music.

After moving to Bristol from Southampton in the early 00’s Hyetal released several acclaimed vinyl only singles affiliated with the city’s post dubstep and techno scenes before moving towards the album format with his debut ‘Broadcast’ in 2011 on Black Acre. After incorporating a diverse range of influences from soundtrack music, pop and new wave rock, Hyetal found longer form releases a natural fit. ‘Broadcast’ was followed by the albums ‘Modern Worship’ on True Panther in 2013 and then ‘Youth and Power’ on Other/ other in 2017, the first to feature his own vocals.

In 2022 a sound piece and sculpture featuring the song ‘Permanence’ exhibited at the Venice Bienalle in collaboration with artist Rana Begum. The EP ‘States’ was released on Diskotopia, exploring a sound influenced by 90s techno and shoegaze.

In 2024 Hyetal will release a new multi-disciplinary album, short story and video in collaboration with author Tim Maughan and visual artist R3N on Pure Life.

Kuroi Ame

Kuroi Ameは、マンチェスターに拠点を置くレーベルPure Life Recordsの共同オーナーであるAndrew Hillock (Panta Rhei) とMikhail Makarenko (CMD094)によるコラボレーションプロジェクト。

2018年のデビュー作「Sacred」は、アトモスフェリックなサウンドトラックの手法とダンスミュージックの様々な影響を組み合わせた「Dreampunk」ムーブメントの礎となるリリースとされていて、2019年にVILL4INからリリースされたアナログ盤が即完売するほどの話題となった。

彼らはこのリリースに続き、2019年に「Love」を、2020年にはインターネット上でカルト的人気を誇る匿名アーティスト輕描淡寫とのコラボレーションリリース「眼泪含泪」を発表。

2022年には、ウクライナ人道基金への寄付金を募るために「Data Garden」をリリース。

これまでに2019年、2022年、2023年にマンチェスターやブリストル、ロンドンで自身のレーベル主宰のイベント「Pure Live」を開催、ライブではメンバーPanta RheiがKuroi Ameの楽曲と映像を融合させたオーディオビジュアルパフォーマンスを行う。

Kuroi Ameは2024年、日本人プロデューサー／ヴォーカリストのEulalieとコラボレーションした新アルバム「Dreaming Machines」を発表予定であり、このアルバムはプロジェクトをエレクトロニック・ポップとテクノの新たな方向へと押し進める。

Kuroi Ame is the collaborative project between Pure Life Records co-owners Andrew Hillock (Panta Rhei) and Mikhail Makarenko (CMD094).

Their debut ‘Sacred’ in 2018 is considered a cornerstone release of the ‘Dreampunk’ movement combining atmospheric soundtrack techniques with various influences of dance music. It was subject to a sold out vinyl run on VILL4IN in 2019. They followed up this release in 2019 with ‘Love’, and a collaborative release with cult anonymous artist 輕描淡寫 in 2020. They then released ‘Data Garden’ in 2022 a release to raise money for Ukraine Humanitarian Fund.

Kuroi Ame has been performed as a live audio visual show by Panta Rhei in Manchester, Bristol and London in 2019, 2022 and 2023.

Kuroi Ame are set to return in 2024 with their new album ‘Dreaming Machines’ in collaboration with Japanese producer/vocalist Eulalie, which pushes the project into a new direction of electronic pop and techno.

ニューヨークを拠点とする音楽プロデューサー。 アンビエントやダブテクノに影響を受けた、実験的な音響による幻覚的エレクトロミュージックを作曲。Dream CatalogueやPure Life, No Agreementsなどさまざまなレーベルからリリースを重ねる。

自己実現したコンセプト「the mektrix」を指針に、アート、執筆、音楽の領域で活動している。若々しくも熟練したギタリストでありプロデューサーであるBROKEN_CANYONのDreampuunk風の音楽へのアプローチは、この「メクトリックス」のアイデアからインスピレーションを得て、ますます前衛的になっている。

「メクトリクス」とは何か？急速に進化するテクノ・リアリティを見るためのレンズ、あるいは自己検証するための歪んだデジタルミラー。インターネットが引き起こす精神錯乱状態、ユーチューブ精神分裂病、世界3.0。予言されていたサイバーパンクの時代は、ネオンの飾りや装飾品なし。ただのカオス。

BROKEN_CANYON is a New York-based music producer. They composes hallucinatory electro music with experimental sounds influenced by ambient and dub techno, and has released on various labels including Dream Catalogue, Pure Life and No Agreements.

BROKEN_CANYON operates in the realm of art, writing and music under the guiding principle of their self-realised concept ‘the mektrix’. A youthful but skilled guitarist and producer, their dreampunk-inspired approach to music is increasingly avant-garde, taking inspiration from this ‘mektrix’ idea.

What is ‘the mektrix’? A lens through which to view the rapidly evolving techno-reality, or a distorted digital mirror in which to self-examine. Internet-induced states of mental disarray, youtube schizophrenia, the world 3.0. The cyberpunk age that was foretold without its neon trappings and ornaments. Just chaos.

Eulalie

Eulalie(ユーラリ)は京都出身の音楽プロデューサー/ボーカリスト。

2019年から自身の寝室でボーカルと電子音楽を組み合わせた音楽を作り始める。
2020年にシカゴのレーベルForgot ImprintからデビューEP『Sleep & I’ll Be Decent』をリリース。
2021年に英国のレーベルDream Catalogueから初のアルバム『A Day At The Videodrome』をリリース、アンビエントとダンスミュージックを融合したDreampunkジャンルに影響を受ける。
楽曲がBBCやNTS、InterFM897など様々なラジオで取り上げられる。

ライブでは電子音楽の演奏とリアルタイムの歌唱を組み合わせ、ポップやダンス、アンビエントの要素がシームレスに繋がる。
2022年の夏にはイギリス3都市5箇所でライブを行った。

2024年にはイギリスのレーベルPure Lifeからレーベルの主催者Kuroi Ameとのコラボアルバム「Dreaming Machines」をリリース予定。ボーカルにフィーチャーしたSci-fi popな作品。

Eulalie is a music producer/vocalist from Kyoto, Japan.
Her work is characterised by a gender and age-agnostic voice and she has collaborated with many artists from different countries.

She started making music combining vocals and electronic music in her bedroom in 2019.
She released her debut EP Sleep & I’ll Be Decent on Chicago label Forgot Imprint in 2020.

In 2021 she released her first album, A Day At The Videodrome, on UK label Dream Catalogue, influenced by the Dreampunk genre, which combines ambient and dance music.Eulalie’s music has been featured on various radio stations, including BBC, NTS and InterFM897.

Her live shows combine electronic music performance with real-time singing, seamlessly connecting elements of pop, dance and ambient.

In the summer of 2022, she played five shows in three UK cities

In 2024, Eulalie will release a collaborative album ‘Dreaming Machines’ on UK label Pure Life with the label’s organiser Kuroi Ame. The album will be a sci-fi pop piece featuring vocals

2024年に開催されたPure Liveの様子。ブリストル会場では二重スクリーン、ロンドン会場では大スクリーンを使用し、各アーティストに合わせたビジュアルをリアルタイムで操作。レーベル所属のVJがアーティストごとに個別にビジュアルを作成し、VJ二人がお互いの持ち味を生かして、セッション的にビジュアルを生成する場合も。
